McGIRT RULING IMPACT AND PROPOSED CHANGE
The McGirt ruling impacted Oklahoma by changing existing jurisdictions for agencies and complicating law enforcement response. But there is an answer---cross-deputization and partnership between agencies. I am committed to forging these partnerships and protecting all citizens in Ada, Roff, Byng, Stonewall, Fitzhugh, Fittstown, Francis, Allen, Latta, Oil Center, Vanoss, Lula, Jesse, and Happyland.
Jail Condition Concerns
IF ELECTED: Staffing will be assessed for adequacy and safety and any necessary changes will be prioritized. I will evaluate the resources available to inmates to ensure compliance with required standards.
